Reminiscent of Goldilocks and the three bears only the other way round, a mother bear and her three cubs broke into a holiday cabin in Norway and eat and drank everything in sight, including more than 100 cans of beer.
According to the owner of the wooden cabin, Borthen Nilsen he had found that the bears had broken into his lodge by pulling off a wall. He deduced that it was bears who had broken in and not unruly teenagers because of bear excrement and footprints plus an awful stench.
100 cans of Norwegian beer had been stored by Mr Borthen Nilsen in preparation for the autumn hunting season. Also stored there was a selection of sweet treats including marshmallows, chocolate spread and honey food more suited to Winnie the Pooh.
Mr Borthen Nilsen’s mother and grandmother discovered the mess the bears mess after their Goldilocks revenge, at the family’s 26-square foot hut in Jarfjord in Finnmarken. Mr Borthen Nilsen said: “They had a hell of a party in there. The entire cabin was destroyed. The beds and all kitchen appliances, stove, oven and cupboards and shelves were all smashed to pieces. They have bitten into the cans and drunk the beer. It’s almost like taken out of Goldilocks and the three bears.”
He now fears because the mother bear has shown her cubs how to break into a house that the cubs will come back again, especially after tasting beer for the first time, they might want more.
