Johnny Depp is one smitten man.
The 50-year-old actor hasn't been able to resist gushing about his soon-to-be-bride, Amber Heard, while promoting his forthcoming sci-fi movie, "Transcendence."
While speaking with "Today's" Savannah Guthrie, Depp opened up about his recent engagement, which both stars had previously been super private about.
"She's wonderful," Depp said of Heard, 27. "She's sharp as a tack. A Southern belle and as sweet as can be."
It turns out Heard, who co-starred with the actor in "The Rum Diary," is "very good for me," Depp said.
Depp and Heard were first spotted together in 2012, following the actor's split from his prior partner of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis. (Depp and Paradis also have two children together.) The couple tried to keep their romance quiet by avoiding any obvious PDA, but at Heard's "Three Days to Kill" movie premiere in February it appeared the cat was completely out of the bag.
Heard's engagement ring, which she'd previously tried and failed to conceal, was on full display, and so was the couple's very public affection.
Depp, ever the non-traditionalist, is also wearing a huge sparkler.
"I do, I have a female engagement ring," he told David Letterman on "The Late Show" Thursday.
