Many celebrities were involved in tragic accidents that resulted in deaths, while others committed cold-blooded murder. Others were war heroes who served in the military and engaged in combat during wartime. Some celebs have served time in prison stemming from convictions, and others have gotten away with murder; sure, maybe they were wrongly accused, or maybe they just had great lawyers. 
Oscar Pistorius
Four-time Paralympics gold medal runner and double amputee Oscar Pistorius is currently on trial for the 2013 murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. The three fatal shots were fired through a locked bathroom door, and Pistorius claims that he thought he was firing at an intruder.

Michael Jace
"The Shield" actor Michael Jace, 51, was arrested in May 2014 in Los Angeles in the fatal shooting of his wife, April Jace. She was 40-years-old. Neighbors heard gunshots after Michael shot her, and called 911, and Michael himself called 911 to report the murder.

The motive of the murder was believed to be domestic violence, and the Jace's two children were in the home at the time of the murder. They were handed over to California's Department of Children Services, and Michael was booked on a homicide charge, with bail set at $1 million.

Johnny Lewis
In 2012, "Sons of Anarchy" actor Johnny Lewis broke into the home of 81 year-old Catherine Davis, ransacked her home, and then killed her (and her cat). Witnesses then saw Lewis jump over a fence, assault a neighbor, and return to the Davis house. He fell or jumped from a roof and died. Lewis had been born into a Scientologist family and worked for the church's drug rehab group Narconon. Despite a later history of drug use, an autopsy report showed that Lewis had no drugs or alcohol in his system when he died.

Craig MacTavish
In 1984, Boston Bruins center Craig MacTavish pleaded guilty to DUI and vehicular homicide following a car crash. He struck 26 year-old Kim Radley, who died four days after the accident. Though he served a year in jail, MacTavish ultimately played with in the NHL for 17 seasons. He is now general manager of the Edmonton Oilers.

Amy Locane
In 2010, "Melrose Place" actress Amy Locane hit another car with her own while driving with a BAL 3 times over the legal limit. Locane was convicted of vehicular homicide and sentenced to 3 years in prison, though the victims' family has appealed the ruling.

Bit-part actor Skylar Deleon was convicted of three counts of first degree murder for the murders of Tom and Jackie Hawks. In 2004, he convinced the couple to take him on a test cruise on their yacht, which he pretended to want to buy. While at sea, he tied them to the anchor and pushed them overboard, still alive. He was also convicted of the 2003 murder of Jon Jarvi, who was found in Mexico with his throat slit. Deleon was sentenced to death in 2009.
